Ooh - it really does look good, even after such a trip. Keep it away from the wee beasties that have been munching your others!

I ordered this a couple months ago from Thailand. I was pleased that two of the three spikes made it through the long trip. And now...here's my first flower! It's small, but then so is the plant. Maybe over time it will get huge. I'm just happy to flower a species! I noticed the new pretty leaf I've grown is looking good...I hope this keeps up.

I love this species in all its forms. Cornu-cervi flowers, however, are fairly small so don't plan on it getting huge. They do make up for it in lots of flowers over a long period of time.

Lucky you, Connie! I have been wanting one of these orchids too. So many members posting such beautiful photos of them. Hope yours blooms and blooms!

Your plant looks like it is thriving and I have to agree that the new leaf is looking good..nice green lustre with a slight sheen! Means you have been giving this lovely orchid sufficient water and fertilisation! Enjoy! Cornu-Cervi's are one of the most enjoyable orchids as they never seem to stop flowering once they reach a certain size.
Very nice markings on this cornu-cervi. Healthy looking plant too.
The shape is one of the best of all of the cornu-cervi that I have seen; minimal reflexing, large petals, nice open shape. I am so jealous!
It depends. In my opinion, this is the best cornu-cervi I have seen and it deserves an award. This doesn't necessarily guarantee an award if you show it at a judging center now, but if you were to give it a few years, and let it build up an impressive display of blooms, I am sure it would get awarded! But there is still the opinion of the judges, and that is what counts, and I really don't know what they would consider an award winning cornu-cervi, though. But all in all, I want it!
