Blc Soto Rainbow Fantasy and another new orchid

Thanks to Connie I bought two new orchids. This is terribly addicting. I bought another phal for the bay window and my first Cattleya. I have no idea what it is but it came with a tag that says, "Blc Soto Rainbow Fantasy (Lc. Irene's Song x Blc. Hawaiian Lighting)" What does all that mean?

I am having way too much fun!

Blc identifies it as a member of the cattleya family. Blc= Brassolaeliocattleya (brassavola x laelia x cattleya). Although, with all the renaming going on, some that were Blc now have other appellations. The important thing is you can treat it like a catt, and it will be happy.

I can see why its called Rainbow Fantasy, that one will brighten up any room. Lots of color nice plant. Your phal. looks very nice also. Have Fun Rich

That's a beautiful cattelya. We used to refer to them as splashed petal cattelyas.
