Latest bloom of this magnificent wild species from southern Philippines.
This is the longest among its clone, other clones were found across Malesia but shorter.

Lovely Bulbo so different from Indochina clone.
Amazing! Superb!
Thanks guys!
In some information I have heard, they called it Bulbophyllum hampeliana or Bulbophyllum fascinator var. hampeliana (Mr. George Hampel, German orchid species collector in the Philippines), I don't know where the name came from and perhaps the name is invalid without proper documentation.
When I saw this plant personally, an exception of coloration and size, there are no differences in floral structures between other clones in neighboring countries in the Philippines.
In the Philippines, this plant is found in a single location and their habitat is critically endangered due to cassava and corn farming, deforestation and charcoaling.
Very nice bulbo. Thanks for sharing.
