    Cool Cattleya from the Orchid Spree

    I brought home a Blue Boy, a Portia and this lovely white one in bloom. I don't know the name but it's a nice one and i'm guessing I will find out what it is soon. These come from a nursery that has some crosses that are 40 years old....and singing bugs which is why I admire them outside. lol

    Beautiful white Cattleya. There is Rhyncholaelia dygbiana in it.

    Agreed. And the bloom is so pretty. Hard to beat a beautiful white cattleya.

    I thought so too after seeing that perfectly round frilly lip. What's interesting is that the petals are also frilly...like one of the varieties called fimbripetala. After looking at a picture of that varieties' flower, i'd say that is half the cross because the shape of the petals is so similar.
