    Default Aerides crassifolia

Here is one of fav Aerides specie from highland of SE Asia... very free blooming and easy to grow. Compact growth, short strappy leafs and blooms two times a year. Flower is close to 2" across and have a very delicate smell. Plant blooms better in intermediate condition and color is more darker. Not as common as low species like Aed. huelletiana or falcata in cultivation, but very nice.

Quite nice! I had never heard nor seen this species before. Flower form is quite different from Aerides with which I am familiar.

I think its bc the culture is more uniform in cultivation? I grow it under light/window sill. I have V. coerulea that blooms like 2-3 x everyyear and Aed huelletiana that is yet to bloom for 3 years. Orchids are wierd.
