A Study in Orange

This Pot Beaufort Gold Orchid varies a bit depending upon conditions it seems. Normally, it is yellow with a bit a red in the lip. This time it bloomed more as an orange. I suspect temperature may have been the culprit.





This orchid, Slc Jewelbox surprised me. It opens with a great deal of yellow-orange as in the first photo. As the flower ages, it becomes more and more orange.









Received this Pot Cameron's Magentism in trade 4 or 5 years ago. It was supposed to be blooming size then. Quite a source of aggrevation as it refused to bloom year after year. This time it FINALLY decided to do so.

Oooh! All pretty. In most aspects, I'm not a huge fan of orange, but I am definitely drawn to orange orchids. I did not know that there was an orange Jewel Box. . . gonna have to add that to my list!

A bunch of lovely orange blooms. The last one is my favourite. For me the Slc's have been the most difficult cats to bloom,most probably due to the fact that the Sophronitis are mostly cool growers.
