Its nice to have a few Vandaceous orchids in spike or bloom. I don't know if I have fooled them in believing that there in some tropical paradise in southeast Asia, but I am working on it. AL![]()

A beauty! Love that color!
I heard it smells like 'grapes'. Does it? I think I need to look for one. Very nice, Al.
Naoki; I know this is not a very distinct answer, but I would say yes, but not exactly. Kind of sweet/spicy, moderate strength smell. AL
That is gorgeous!! If my greenhouse didn't already need an addition for the vanda section i'd be finding one of these! lol
Lovely color AL. Nice growing.
Exquisite color!
NO FAIR AL! This one is just too beautiful. Love the color. It is just NOT fair that you have a greenhouse and can supply the lighting that one needs to bloom these. I am leaving the forum and going to go sulk awhile. LOL
Ah believe me Bill you have nothing to sulk about. Mine is a lean-to, northern exposure greenhouse. I knew I needed more winter light exposure for the Vandas, Cattleyas, etc. sometime ago. In the last few months I finally got a new series of 'grow lights' in the greenhouse. That and high humidity are pleasing the Vandaceous types. There are ways (Similar to what Naoki in wet, cloudy Oregon does) for you to grow this inside your home or garage, etc. Humidity tent maybe with grow lights? AL
