    Default Phalaenopsis equestris

This is the first bloom for this plant. Its about 3+ years old from seed. It has gone through tons of stress. All my plants have.... from being under window sill conditions, to outside, to under lights, and then back outside with about 2 weeks of frost /(under 45 degrees F to about 25 degrees F). Yet, they still survived. Very resilient i must say to all that survived and by what means i had to help them with...anyhow....im happy that it still wanted to bloom...All my plants are back to doing well under lights...amazing creatures they are

Congrats on your efforts to save the plant. Healthy looking bloom, next year should give you even more.

They are very hardy. When I killed the main plant a keikei popped up and now has three flower spikes. lol I now spray mine faithfully for bugs, rot...give it fertilizer foliar sprays. I'm just happy it lives on....lol. I too am a species phal killer...and I adore the darn things. Some day I'll figure it out.

    thanks Bruce.......I was thinking...............................

its funny how life works out or doesnt work out....lessons learned, memories gained, the struggle, the highs, the linger, the new beginnings, then finally (insert word here)............ as in all creatures/plants we are one in the same.......this is the enjoyment that i get out of these plants, these "beings" that we faithfully nourish ....

at least we try connie hahaha

    @ eric.....you better post those blooms ;P

    Happy 4Th everyone........meh
