I bought this last year and this is my second blooming. I'm not sure what happened, we did have a few cool days a week or two ago, but I don't remember seeing a cattleya do this. One spike is all dark pinks, maroon, etc, while the second spike has nearly white side lobes that wrap around the column. There is some pink, but it is very pale. The first spike never looked like this, so it's not a color change thing. The only thing I can think of is we had a few days in the 80's and maybe the temp. change caused the difference in color.
I'm very happy with this blooming; 8 flowers on one spike and 6 on the other...14 flowers between two spikes makes me very happy!
