Eggs or fungus?

Hi,

I've just noticed these little white 'egg' like clusters amongst the potting mix of one of my Phals, I've only had this one about 2 weeks and they were not there (or at least not so i could see) when i last watered, which was about 6/7 days ago - it gets the same treatment as my other 2 who don't have any problems. The plant itself looks ok and does not show any signs of being 'sick' but I have no clue what it is or what to do
Really hoping they are not eggs - the thought of them hatching.........
