Wow Cathy this is very interesting hybrids I like the lip so beautiful bluish purplish color how big is the plant I do believe it has nice fragrance too. By the way how are you.?Zain
Not a cross I would have chosen, love the 'blue lip'. Sort of the best part of the flower, not wishing to harsh.
An interesting flower.
Lovely primary hybrid !! Is it a free bloomer, looks like one due to the R.coelestis being a summer bloomer and V. tricolor being mostly a fall and winter bloomer.
Still a small plant, but it has bloomed several times this year. The biggest drawback to this plant as with the coelestis parent the spike hangs down in a foxtail so it has to be staked to appreciate the tricolor side. I was disappointed on that aspect. But it makes up for all of that with its free blooming habit, fragrance and the lip. The color of the lip is hard to capture. It truly is luminescent. It looks like it is sitting under a black light. You can spot it from across the yard.
By your desription and photos this is one exceptional Vanda Cathy. AL
Love the lip colour - nice contrast with the colour of the rest of the bloom/
Wow, I love that blue lip. Very pretty blooms.

Yes love the blue lip and great pictures too.
