Orchid Flowers wilting and falling off

I just got an orchid about a month ago and just over the past week or so the flowers have been wilting and falling off. Now my poor plant only has one flower left that hasn't started wilting yet. Please help before I lose all the flowers!
I keep it on the top shelf of a bookcase (so the cats don't get to it) near a window and I water it every week.
Does distilled water make any difference?

There are many reasons for flowers to wilt and fall off. It could just be that the plant is done blooming and the flowers are wilting naturally. Other causes can be lack of water from under watering or loss of root system to take water in.

If your tap water is hard, rain or distilled water is good.
