Default Rossioglossum Rawdon Jester First Blooms

It has been a couple of years waiting for flowers, but here they finally are. These blooms are a favorite and the first ever though the orchid came to me 'blooming size'. There are six blooms and they run about five inches wide each. Though these are certainly not something new here at OrchidTalk Forum, they are special to me so I share them here with you guys....................AL Name: Rossioglossum Rawdon Jester 12-7-2012 107.JPG

Hi Al- well well well, certainly worth waiting for: a magnificent first flowering. Your culture must be excellent. I got one before I was ready and totally inexperienced: it gave one wonderful flower, but only the one. I soon managed to it send it into a terminal decline, I'm afraid. (Thankfully, I am better with the Oncidiinae than I was then!) So I salute you!

And this is a stunning plant- it can never be old-hat! I can never see enough of it!!

I love it Al. What a fun and beautiful orchid flower! This is the same orchid that vexes Kelly (sandtiger). I hope he sees your post and what a beautiful display he has to look forward too!

    cheers,
