Hey Everyone! Been a while hasnt it? I will start another thread soon to catch up on all the gos!
Anyways, i went to New Plymouth this weekend to go to the Taranaki Orchid Societys summer show. I walked away with 5 orchids, three that i need help with.
Number one is Bulbophyllum tingabarinum.
I got this at a bargain price of 10NZD, a vendor who specialises in species is closing down (a blow to the community!) after running for several years at a loss.
I currently have this in the shadehouse, under frosted Fibrelite, with a single layer of shadecloth suspended underneath. The sides are open, and will be closed in Winter. Daytime temperature is around 26 average in summer (15-20 night), and 15 in winter (7-8 night). It receives a 20 minute watering period at 1:30pm every day.
Based on the above info, and on the photo below, does anyone think i should alter my culture conditions for it, and how long will it take to flower, approximatly?
