Cattleya: Multiple Blooms- How?

Hello, everyone.

Well my collection is now predominantly of the Cattleya alliance since I am very fond of them. Each plant has one trailing leaf after another, but how do some growers get multiple blooms like the pic below? Is this just one plant, or do the divide and have multiple rhizomes?

A healthy Catt will eventually put out multiple leads from the rhizome. Then you will have the potential for multiple spikes. And the larger the plant becomes will generally contribute to the potential for more blooms per spike. Hope this helps answer your question.
