Beautiful - and good for you, Zain, in picking up the faint yellow markings on it on your photos - from the tresaspis?

Very nice but I would have liked to see the colouring patterns of the tetraspis.

I find it absolutely fascinating how many different patterns the tetraspis can come in. I've seen varieties with a one red petal and one red sepal, with the rest being white; I've seen them with just "bars" of red (that appears to be the type used in this cross), and various different combinations of splotched red tips and such. The reason I haven't bought one yet is that I am looking to get into Phal breeding, and I don't know how these different types will express themselves in a cross. I do tend to gravitate toward the very star-shaped clones that have 2 parts red to 3 parts white, but that may come out looking odd when crossed with a species phal with a more full, graceful form.

I do like how the bars on this one show up a subtle yellow. It's very classy and understated, and it makes for a graceful overall flower. I think, depending on which tetraspis is used for this cross, there's a potential to come out with a splotchy mess... hence why I'm being really careful about which tetraspis I buy. I still haven't decided, but I really like the look of your cross! I think this was a great buy, and one I'd love to have in my collection!

It's there, but very faint yellow markings - perhaps a different tetraspis parent would have had the color break through in the cross - I have no idea - Phal tetraspis has always bewildered me anyway.
