fertilizer varieties

Is it better to use the same fertilizer all the time if you find one that you like, or is it better to periodically change them and use one for a while and then another one for a while? (I use MSU and have found good results with it.)

I really don't buy too much into switching around fertilizers, I use the same urea-free brand I've always used and it works great.
Just remember to flush the pot really well to avoid salt build up around the roots and in the leaves.
I recently started growing some warm growing paphs, and I add just a little calcium, but other than that everything is all good.

MSU is basically a complete fert so it should be fine to use continously.Me personally i like to to try & make my own fert blends(basically i use part nursery fert & some natural fert).
I know people say that the natural fert needs time to break down to be any use to the plants & orchid pot culture is not really very good @ this.So i make up my fert mix a week before i use it & let it "ripen" before use.
Is it better than say MSU but it,s my fert.
I also use calcified seaweed.

I finely grind this & add rainwater.I leave this solution so that the minerals have a chance to dissolve into the water.The ph rises dramatically after a few days & is useful to increase the ph for my Paphs(ph tends to lower after adding the fert).
My largiest single growth Paph roth has 4 new growths started which to me means i must be getting something right(i do realise the rest of my culture probaly plays a bigger part).
