She outdid herself this time! Last year I asked OTF whether I should leave her in her pot...I did, and she put on this show. This is a pic after 2 weeks of bloom, and there are more coming.![]()

Beautiful!!
This is going to be an awesome, awesome display! Congratulations for the excellent culture.Like Bruce says.. the fragrance must be outstanding with that many spikes!
Last week end of September there's the orchid show of Barcelona. If there are any for sale, I'll surely buy one. The dcent is so heavenly.
Makes me long for the day my "Sharry Baby" blooms! I got a rather small beat up plant cheap and I'm waiting since last fall. It's certainly been doing well, so hard to be patient!
Well done!
But that's just it--I didn't DO anything! I threw it under a palm tree, which unbeknownst to me kept it from getting drowned in the heavy heavy rains we've had this summer while I was gone. Apparently it had just the right amount of filtered sun and shelter from the rain, and this is how it repaid my neglect. I don't deserve it! Last year I think it had 9 spikes, so will it continue exponentially?? I bought this as a tiny baby at a show about 6 years ago, and it was repotted twice, first into a larger pot and then about 3 years ago into this huge tub. Now I can't feel any bark when I stick a finger in it--surely the bark has completely broken down? It has many new tiny green roots...
Benign neglect is the BEST way to get monsters!Congratulations!
One hell of a plant!! A Oncidium in it's prime years. How nice to have something bloom on for months like this will. AL
