can orchids's live under a tree fern?

hi guys, i have question: I am growing my eight phal orchids under my mum's tree fern 1 is mounted but the other7 r just growing on top of the dirt with some wood chips, tree fern bark stuff etc. they seem happy 2 r blooming again. is this okay?

I see you are new to the Forum.. Welcome ! Happy to have you join us.
There are many answers to your question, and some of them would be related to where you are located, and the conditions there.
If you identify where you live, country or State, and what type/species of orchids you are growing under the tree, we would better be able to help you.
I, for example live in Barbados in the Caribbean. I can grow some terrestrials in a garden bed, and some other types attached to trees. Most everything else is either potted or mounted.
I am sure others will be along to give their opinions, but in the meantime tell us where you are.

Angela is asking the right questions. I'll add a welcome and await your response. It sounds like your orchids are happy, but maybe they are just a couple weeks new and the environment isn't changing how they grow or bloom. Knowing where you grow these phals should help folks answer your question if they will be able to continue to grow under this tree fern.

Also, photos in addition to location would help.

hello again these are my orchid hopefully you guys got the pics! I live in Sparta ontario Canada! so in the summer we put them out and in the winter we take them in
