Dendrobium lindleyi in bloom

I bought this plant 3 years ago and this is its first flowering.I have 2 other Den lindleyi both much bigger - one mounted on driftwood with about 12 mature p-bulbs and another in a basket, a big clump of 20 or so p-bulbs bought a year earlier than the one presently blooming. I have given up hope of ever blooming those two. The weather here just does not suit Den lindleyi. This one that is blooming was supposed to have been collected further south than the normal lindleyi, This variety has slimmer p-bulbs compared to the normal lindleyi which has stouter p-bulbs. There were only 2 spikes with 6 flowers each but the flowers on one has already faded.

To get mine to bloom I give it a bright, dry, cool rest. I don't begin watering until the spikes break through their sheaths.

I have a small lindleyi that has spiked for me... I've read conflicting information about the life of the blooms. They are such a happy color! Yours looks lovely.

Thanks Selvi. This year I gave it a drastic rest - no water for 2 months (Dec-Jan), but strangely there was very little shrivelling of p-bulbs.

So beautiful congrats for able to bloom it, I gave up no luck on this wonderful pseudobulb.
