    Unhappy Hit Hard by HAIL!

    This evening we were directly hit by a hail storm with up to dime sizes hail. All the white is fresh hail!

    My garden will have to be replanted. I still have my peppers, 1 tomato plant and melons under lights but will have to rebuy/replant eggplant and tomatoes.

    My lettuce was just getting ready to harvest. Spinach had been an ongoing harvest but is over now.

    My cymbidium was out during the hail and got some damage but not too bad (you can see it next to the a/c unit). Split some leaves and that appears all so far. The other orchids that were outside were brought in earlier in the day or just after it started.

    We had a similar case here in my place too in April. Some are of the size of a walnut. My greenhouse roof has tobe replaced, the hail has puncture all of the roof but fortunately not a single plant damaged since i use a shading cloth above the plants, it protects them.

    Sorry to hear that Harvey. We have been raining for 23 days since the beginning of May. Mother nature is not kind to us for the recent years.

    So sorry for all of the hail. My brother in law was on the highway during the hall storm that hit the part of Texas he was visiting. They are all fine but it sounds like the same system as it was the same day as your storm.
