from the jungle

so i just bought 10 orchids from a guy who goes to jungle to collect them,.. some are fresh, some been in his house for a week the longest,.. and the orchids has things like holes, or some bites, and a few other different problems. he said there is no such thing as perfect orchid from the jungle. if it's flawless it means it came from farm/nursery. and he said there is nothing to worry he soaked it with some chemicals before he gave it,...
i sorta think they don't look alright.
would be great to get second opinion,..

Hi lijun that is really the jungle collected plants to me you are considered very lucky as the plants still very fresh and not dehydrated please take care all of them now is raining season may this will facilitate root formation.

Great acquisitions Lijun. That Paphiopedilum really intrigues me. Very good advice from Zainal and he has great experience with jungle plants.

thank you cattan,... the paph are supposed to be glaucophyllum and praestan ,.. that guy said, other than the shape, could see from the texture of the leaves,... he said the glaucophyllum has square textures on the leave, the praestan has stripes,... or is it the other way around,..
i personally can't see it,..

Hi lijun the second photo is praestan and the third photo is glaucophyllum, glaucophyllum has a very soft and interesting leaves and praestan the leaves itself is very tough looking.

ow yea,.. now i notice the glauco is definetly softer than the praestan,... thank you zainal for pointing it out,...
still not seeing the stripes and square patterns on the leaves,... it probably takes a lot more experience to see it right away,....
