Eurychone rothschildiana- 1st Blooming

I bought this Eurychone rothschildiana several months ago. The seller said "Should be in spike in a month'. Well, he was about 1.5 months off, but it did grow a small, 2 bud spike which I first mistook for a weird looking root. When the buds began to mature, I realized it wasn't a root after all but an inflorescence.

I think the flower can open a little bit more, but like Roy, I couldn't wait any longer to post. I'll add more images when I get home this afternoon. I took this pic quickly before I left for work at 4:30 am.

The one leaf on the plant that has damage is seen in the picture. The leaf got folded sometime before it got to me.

At 4:30 am there was no scent detectable. Maybe it will have a scent at 4:30 pm???!!!

Wow Harvey I like it, so beautiful and classic the leaves almost similar like Phalaenopsis at first glance.
