    I don't water as often in cold weather yug, I don't not water it though.

    I've heard of drying them out somewhat, but there is a local Hono-hono grower that tells me his dendrobiums do fine without withholding water. Others say that it will make them bloom better in spring if you reduce water until they show 'ribbing'.
