    Default Cattleya walkeriana bud

    Hello everyone! Sharing a bud pic that should hopefully be followed by a bloom pic. Haven't had much luck blooming Cattleyas but got this guy in sad shape at Lowe's four or five months ago and repotted. There was a lot of new growth and when I went out to check on my plants I got a nice surprise -- a big bud! I really like the growth habit of this Cattleya and its compact size -- if i'm into the bloom i'll probably get another and mount it.

    Here's the bloom. Not the best shape but for a first time it's nice. Very strong fragrance! I need another walkeriana!
