    well, last night was my orchid society meeting and this one decided to open today!!!! grrrr!!!

    Wilsonara kolibri


    In the mix is 50% Odontoglossum pescatorei, 25% Oncidium ornithorynchum, 12.5% Oncidium incurvum, 6.25% Odontoglossum edwardii, and 6.25% Cochlioda noezliana.

    seven flowers opened with another six buds to open and another branch spike with no buds yet showing...

    no fragrance that I can detect, but I have a slight cold so...

    Nice blooms! How about a picture of the whole spike? I have this guy too but I don't remember when it blooms.

    Hoa, I couldn't get a picture of the whole spike... well there were a couple but it just was not for publication... in fact it was absolutely shocking!!! So here's another shot instead...



    that's the end of the spike... I didn't know how to stake it so the inflorescence ended up or rather down as it is weighed by the flowers...

    well, it took about 14 shots before I decided to give up... and then I just took the "best" one and well, this is as good as it gets... coz after a while it just feels bad realising i am a terrible photographer
