    Default Bulbophyllum Orientale

My wife bought this orchid at a show and gave it to me. She liked the form of the mount and orchid, she thought it looked like a dinosaur. I looked at the care the orchid required but did not look at the flower size. The first year the orchid bloomed I not only failed to see a flower but missed three inflorescences until they had finished blooming and turned brown. I now know to look for short stems with numerous tightly clustered flowers which are less than 1 cm in width. Over the years I have added moss so the mount no longer looks like a dinosaur, but it remains a favorite. Please enjoy!
