Very nice nobile dend, Gin. Definitely a keeper even though it is a NOID.

Julie, I have to say that many dends are quite of leggy, so they tip over and bully your phals. Well how about some stout ones, you know what I mean, short and fat dends? Hehehe!!!

I don't have many of the other type Dends. How about a Compactum they stay small and bloom for months . Short and skinny . Gin

Of course, short and skinny would do as well. Julie, how about Dendrobium speciosum var. compactum or var. pediculatum? They all stay rather short and stout! Other compactum dends are fine as well!

I do think that if the Asian Dends tend to give you gals trouble, then look into the Aussie Dends which grow very well in the company of Cattleyas...

I agree with Tim-O. That is what I have been trying to tell you gals, the dend-haters around here ... Hehehe!
However, growing with Catts! That underestimates the strength and beauty of the Aussie Dends. You just stick them outside in your patio in Southern Cal and they will grow for you (just remember to show the LUV by watering and fertilizing them now and then!).
BTW, Diane, of course Kevin will have some of the Aussie dends at the show. Even better yet, during the SB show excursion, we will visit some other nurseries (you might have known them already) as well and their collection of aussie dends might astound you. There are plenty of dends to choose from, short and thin, short and FAT, tall and leggy thin, or tall and FAT, all to your "liking" if you are willing ...
