Default Something at my bud :(

Hello. I am new to orchids but have a healthy obsession imho. I have been quite fortunate that I haven't killed anything yet, and was even excited to see I'm getting buds on a couple plants. I check them every morning to see how they slept, and was shocked this morning when I saw that something ate a bud off my catteleya. I have a photo to post but maybe because I'm new I don't have that privilege yet. What could it be? Slugs? It is a healthy plant and high off the ground (although slugs around here seem to be able to fly). If it is a slug, what can I do? Please help. Thank you.

Ok, i see you posted messages on mobil device. Are you on the phone or tablet? You have to request desktop site. On my phone if im in web browser i have to go to the right top corner click there ( i have three verticaly alignez dots ), it gives me menu, somewhere there is option 'request desktop site'. After that you should be able see icons on top of message window here. Look for picture frame icon, it should be third from right to the left.
On desktop it just normal version and you dontbhave to do anything.
So click on the icon, it will open new small window yo browse picture.

Thanks, Chemist! My phone says mobile OrchidTalk, but I still can't get the icon. Your reply made me think to get to my laptop and I see the icon here!

Could also be a slug or a snail. Check the potting media and also the surrounding plants.

Well, I put a trap out last night and found a slug. I hope that's the only one.

Good. Watch out for the next generations coming out as it could have laid eggs in the potting media. You can check and if required repot
