My Phals Keikis and Basal Keikis

The first two photos are basal keikis on one plant. There's one at the top and one at the bottom. Just leaving them as they are they seem to be doing great. The 3rd photo is of two keikis on one spike that has branched. The one on the left has been there for a few months the other just started a week or two ago. I'm waiting to see if they develop roots anytime soon so far there's no sign.

Do you know what kind of Phal the basal keiki's are on? Some Phal types prefer them staying together and not being separated. The keiki on the spike will need to be harvested sometime after it develops a root system of its own.

Not sure what kind they are. I rescued these -----------------------------------last year in June. They were all leftover Mothers Day orchids.

Regarding the spike keiki. A common practice in plant propagation is to pin or tie down a branch, or in this case a spike, to a growing medium at the point where a shoot has begun. I don't know if this would work with a Phal but perhaps. Someone else might have a better idea.

Congratulations on the saving! Increasing the humidity of the greenhouse might help.
I agree with Chris in Hamilton about spike keiki, you can try to clump some moist sphagnum moss and tie it at the base of keiki on the 3rd picture (left one). Spray the sphagnum moss from time to time and let it dry out between watering, but don't let water stand at the crown. Some spike keiki can be very hard to root.

Thank you, the plastic louvers that you see the orchids sitting on are on top of plastic dishpans filled with water. The humidity on the orchid side stays at about 50%+ humidity. Thanks also for the tip on the spike keiki, I'll give that a try.
