Like the colour combo on this one especially the lip. I have this problem with the kingianum species and hybrids. They grow like crazy for a few years then they have a bad one. Also don't know why.

This is a hybrid which is 50% kingianum, 25% tetragonum, and 25% speciokingianum ( presumably a natural hybrid - one I can't remember seeing mentioned before ). But so many of these Australian species and hybrids are all the same shape of flower - immediately recognisable. No worse for that ! It is what I call a smart little flower.
I have had the plant for 2 or 3 years - its not looking too happy at the moment, I don't know what I did or didn't do last year to make it unhappy , must try harder next year ! I think the real trick with the aussies is to wait until they do start a new growth , and then feed and water them very frequently , probably daily, until complete. I have seen kingianum grow more than an inch a day with that treatment.
