Wazzup with my new Oncidium????

My first oncidium (only previous orchid are cymbidiums) has hundred of tiny brown raised 1/32 inch or smaller pimply brown rough dots on the pseudobulbs only (I'd say a hundred or so per pseudobulb). Just got it from a mail order site this week. It looks like this pseudobulb is covered completely on one side and half covered on the other side. The brown stuff is also creeping up the leaf (which is split) along the split center vein but is not on any other leave. Some of the brown stuff looks like it is beginning on some of the other pseudobulbs but it is minimal even feathery looking. Don't want to put it in my growing area with the cymbidiums until I know what this is. No sign of it on the leaves. Is it normal? Is it fungus? Wazzup? How do I trouble shoot it/treat it and when do I give this onc the ok to sit in my bay window with the cyms?

Oncs do get brown spots, but not like you are describing... Is it mites or scale? Can you take a photo and post it. Definitely don't put with your cyms until you are sure it is healthy. Have you unpotted it to take a look at the roots?

I see the votes are in, ditto and ditto, so I'll post a pic, but give me a week or so since I'm a low tech photographer and will have to shoot film and then scan a print to post.
