Hi guys,
I recieved a miniature vanda this week that I've been waiting on foreverI've been playing with ideas on how to keep this one alive. My main problem is humidity. I live in the mountains, so keeping a high humidity level is impossible, and I've had limited results with humidity trays in my home. I do have a fair-sized terrarium with an open top though, and I was considering hanging this miniature vanda inside with pebbles and water in the bottom (possibly mounting the vanda on a small piece of bark). Do you think this might work for her? I'm also hoping that the terrarium will offer heightened temps. What do you think? I'll post a pic of the plant, but once again, its almost dusk here so the pics are too dark. I'll have to take some better ones tomorrow. thanks for your help.

what is your average humidity ? if 50% roughly it would be fine if you water until the roots are bright green , if very dry 2 times a day . How about an ultra sonic cool mist humidifier ? I would worry about lack of air flow in a Terr. Damp and still = fungus or rot .
