My very first species orchid bloomed for the first time this morning and I am very proud of myself. Actually, she seems to like the same culture as all my other phals, but still....

I'm sure you will agree that she is the loveliest little shilly you have laid your eyes on, but if not, don't tell me. :-)

I was going to post after more flowers bloomed, but hey, tomorrow may never come.

So far no, but I haven't given up!

Try putting the bloom in filtered sun for about 10 minutes tomorrow, and sniff again. Some are fragrant, some aren't. Love the blossoms though. Good job getting her into bloom...

What I find interesting is yours bloom in summer! They usually bloom in early spring.

Oh, that bloom is perfect! Very nice. I also like seeing the un-opened/ opening bud too. Very nice photography also.
