Where do they rebloom

Ok, maybe this is dumb, but I won't know unless I ask. Will orchids bloom from new growth AND old growth? Hmmm, lets say, my paph bloomed last year. This year it has new growth. Will I get blooms from both? What about Brassias? Can they rebloom from the same bulbs? Or will they only bloom off of new growth?

Some sympodials will rebloom from old growth, ie, many Dendrobiums. Paphs and Brassias will only rebloom from new growth. Once the old growth has bloomed out, it serves no other function than to provide nutrients and support for the new growth coming in.

Do brassias have the dormant eyes that will grow if backbulbs are divided?

It's the Cattleyas that have those. The new growth from Brassias (and others in the tribe) develops under the leaf sheaths at the base of the pseudobulb.
