    Default It is really going to happen!

    I got the first draft of house plans today for our new house and IT INCLUDES A GREENHOUSE! It is just so exciting to see it on paper. The greenhouse will be 12 feet x 13 feet with an eastern and southern exposure. It will be attached to the house via glass french doors so that I can enjoy the orchids even when I am not actually in the greenhouse! It will also have a sink and counter for repotting and cabinets under the sink for orchid junk. Of course there will also water spigots etc. I'll have it plumbed so that someday when we aren't broke from building the house I can do a R.O. system etc. Right now it is enough to have a greenhouse and be able to water them all without schlepping them to the sink.

    I am so excited -- my own little paradise! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

    You know what this means---I need more orchids.

    You are so, so lucky!!!!!!! I feel telling my fiance that if he insists on having some obscene garage, that I MUST have a greenhouse to pursue my hobbies as well. I am so excited for you- a greenhouse is a dream come true!!!

    Congrats, Sadie! It sounds like a wonderful plan, and makes me recall my grandmother's greenhouse. Not only will it make their care far easier, there's something peaceful about going out to your own private space to indulge in your passion and spend quality time with all the kids!
