Nice pictures. The second one with the close up is great!
Charming little plant Clint! Mine is about that size too; do they stay pretty small? Another thing I have been wondering is about the name 'equestris'. That would seem to suggest something about horses, but I fail to see the resemblance! LOL
I do think that they remain quite small, but not as small as the miniatures like lobbii, parishii and lowii...but I could be wrong..
As far as being "horse-like", I don't see it either. I'm not sure of the name origin..maybe someone else can enlighten us...
Nice equestris, Clint!

Very sweet little orchid
Hey, that is cute. Gin sent me one similar to this that just blooms and blooms.
Cheers,

I need to find myself one of these- it blooms in a 2.5" pot?? Holy cow! Talk about a space-saver!! Does anyone have one that they'd be willing to sell me? PM me! Just from looking at the picture, maybe its called "equestris" because the upper column looks really long- it kinds juts out like a horse's head? Just a thought...hahah...or I could be hallucinating![]()
SO pretty and delicate! I love them! Judi
