Hi all!
I know I've been totaly inactive for a while now, I think my vacation is to be blamed since I now actually have time to get out! .. Well I'm starting on my masters degree in a week, then I'll probably start getting a bit more active since I have a endency to use my computer for anything but studying when I actually have to!
Anyway - about a month ago I bought seedling of bulb. carunculatum and one of bulb. sulawesii for my terrarium. I later found out that the guy at the nursery didn't know what he was talking about when he said they would grow much larger - they get HUGE!
So given all my free time at the moment I thought I'd give mounting a try since I've used up my windowsill quota! I couldn't quite see how treefern, bark or wood would fit in so I came up with this idea (see pic below).
It's made completely from synthetic products so I don't have to worry about decomposition. The idea is to allways keep it moist and get all the "medium" covered in moss. I grow orchids in a similar medium made from rockwool in pots, and they are starting to get green and furry
