This guy was flashing his color on a lower shelf in the greenhouse this morning. I thought I would share him with everyone here. Enjoy.

Looks like someone spilled pink nail polish on it. Great markings.

I have been fighting an admiration of cattleyas. I still don't like the really floofy ones, but the Laelia shaped blooms really do it for me. Gorgeous markings, too, BD!

Thanks all. This one is really a nice plant too. It is small (compact) and presents its blooms very well. I am fairly happy with the overall shape of the bloom too. I wish the markings were a bit less random and the shape was a little better, but I still love it. It is a first bloom on this plant.

    Cheers,
    BD

Ditto for me! I have a Don Herman "Gold Rush" and absolutely adore it. Such vibrant yellow and I love the way the flowers are held. Plus - spots!
