Last year was not so great for me. Although my science/work was going quite well but I had a family tragedy and that explained a lot for my absence. The orchids were neglected and they suffered quite a bit. Luckily, most of them are still alive and some managed to flower. Hopefully, this year everything will be all peachy ...

The dinner banquet for my birthday, well at this point, I don't know I will have it yet. I am preparing to go to a conference in Washington DC in 2 weeks to present our works, I have almost no time at all ... But I can give you the menu of the last birthday dinner ... hehhehheee ... (the real thing, not what I was teasing you guys ...)

That reminds me of my orchid society's Christmas banquet, one of the table cloths did catch fire from the candle right in the middle of the gift exchange ... How odd these things would happen ...
