bought this as a seedling in 2004!!! It almost flowered last year, but this year, it is now a confirmed blooming size
Cattleya harrisoneae
A species found on the coastal plains of the Brazilian states of Rio de Janeiro and Espiritu Santa, it is still confused taxonomically with the closely related Cattleya loddigesii (the latter species found growing on the mountainous region of Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais, and Sao Paulo).
Cattleya harrisoniana is a fairly easy to grow plant that requires high levels of light and humidity. A mature, well grown flower can provide a number of flowers on the inflorescence but not as many as loddigesii.
