keiki pics...looking good ?

Hi orchid friends. Here's my phal orchid Keiki !! I've talked about it once or twice in my other posts... I'm a newbie, but Not scared to try new things and I figured since I've killed a few orchids in my day (from inexperience ) ..maybe in the future i can make up for it (and get some karma points....hehe)

I used Keikigrow plus from Canada. You can still see a little of the paste residue on the plant .... It has been about 3 weeks now...maybe nearing 4 (I should have taken notes with dates ...for future reference....That's a newbie for ya' ...lol)

newbie or not ...I'm getting excited cause this looks like more than just a new bud to me ....I think i see a root or leaf formations starting .... opinions please ? Thanks you all so much .....I will try and update every month or so.

yeah ...it's growing about 1mm every 3-5 days ... convert to inches... divide by 3 carry the months over to days...multiply by an exponential...add Pie.... eat a pie.... watch the keiki grow.... and by those estimations....sometime in 2010 (assuming everything goes smoothly) maybe I'll have a baby clone to try and pot

Congrats Christian!... My plants have keikis too!... Remember to fertilize the mother plant as its feeds a baby!... Spraying and keeping them humid is the key for keiki rooting... Good Luck ...

Hi friends... my little baby is still growing...Thanks for the fertilize advice (mohi)...I hadn't thought of that ...all my orchids need fertilized now anyways ...they are mostly all out of flowering.... and I have a couple other kieki's on 2 other plants as well.... they are Leeetle though... and I have about 8 new spikes where i tried to induce a kieki ...but it tripped a new spike or bud... So I'm getting to see an extra flower on a few of these plants (but it is small and not as nice as the regular blooms...as i've read from others here on orchidtalk ...who have stated this would happen)

I still have sooooo much to learn about these plants... and I havent had any time lately to peruse this site (when I do though ...I always learn something)

anyways ...here's some new pics from 2 days ago... it looks like there are 2 bases...2 diff sets of leaves... idk how this will pan out in the future...and I'm keeping my eyes out for a root or two to start growing out... this keiki is approx 3 months old right now (give or take a week)
