From South America hot to warm grower. Epiphytic very fragrant long lasting. Flowers arise from leaf nodes up to one foot. Surprisingly previous cane produced female flowers which very odd along the male flowers below it.

Wow, that is so beautiful and interesting!! So you're saying that the previous spike had female flowers, and now this spike had male flowers? Or both spikes exist at the same time? I remember learning about that in hort class - very cool!! Thanks for sharing, they are exquisite.
I love seeing these, Zain. I got a couple of plants that will do this when I get them to bloom. They are seedlings still, but I was told by the man who crossed them that is the kind of flower to expect. Very cool.
Cheers,

The close-up picture of the male flower is amazing ... And the idea of both male and female flowers cohabiting on the same spike is fascinating.
Outstanding Zain. Thanks for sharing!
