Where? around Cleveland? in the national park system?

Erie Sand Barrens is a state nature preserve located in Erie county near the NASA Plum Brook station. It is small but fruitful! The remnant prairie is located in the back of Highland Heights Community Park, just southeast of Cleveland. A friend of mine did her thesis on this tract of land or I would not have known of its existence. Lots of fun places to visit in northern Ohio, they just tend to be small and hard to find!

Brilliant shots Pedro. I recognise some of them as 'garden' plants here in the UK, namely the Liatris, Rudbeckia and the Spiraea. It's great to find their country of origin.

Dragonn, that is pretty amazing! I was watching a show on a region in China (and I cannot recall the name of the area) but nearly every plant native there was a garden plant here in the U.S. In 100 years whose to say what is native and what is introduced.

The Holden Arboretum in Ashtabula county isn't too far from you. It's known for its Ohio Prairie gardens. Went last year and it was worth the drive.
