Default BLC. Golden Embers 'Chris' AM/AOS

Ok, this will be the final bloom I post today - I just wanted to share some of the color going on in the greenhouse this morning. I sprayed today, so I know that the blooms will not last too much longer. Anyway, this cattleya bloom is huge. We don't stake out cattleya spikes very often (just don't have the time), but this one could use a stake. The bloom is so large and heavy, it hangs down. I stood it up with my hand to take the photo. It is fragrant and looks like velvet up close. Sorry about the photos. I had to stand in a chair for this one.

Clint always makes me smile with his insights/ observations. heheheh...

Thanks, everyone, for the nice comments. I really like this bloom. I am so pleased with it, but unlike the other catts blooming for me now, this guy only has the one bloom - huge though it is.

    Cheers,
    BD
