This is a first bloom on this young orchid for us. It is cool to see the color difference between the two blooms on the same spike at the same time. I had a hard time getting a good shot, so please bear with me. I finally sat the bugger on the gravel floor in the shade and got a couple of decent shots to share with you. White is so hard to photograph in sunlight.

New name...that seems to be popular. I'm never going to keep all these names straight if they keep that up. Geesh! The plant is amazing...one flower so white with just a few touches of color and the other fading into it's pink/lavender color. Very nice!

Yes, the bloom color-shifts as the flower matures. Both are fairly new blooms, one just opened up sooner than the other and allowed me to get a good shot of the color difference while on the same plant.
