    Smile Wedding gifts

I just got married - twice actually, once on each continent. And well, I guess word has gotten out that I'm into orchids because we got 6 different orchids as weddings presents.

My favorites are these two - they don't have tags on them but I am pretty sure they are a Miltonia spectabilis and a Miltassia Royal Robe (and we actually got 3 separate plants of the Miltassia!). The others are noid phals - pretty, but not quite as exciting.

Any tips on care would be greatly appreciated, especially for the Miltonia!

That is really cool!!!! I didn't receive any orchids as wedding presents, but I did have orchids in some of my table arrangements, so that was cool.

That maroon colored one is just lovely!! Enjoy them in good health, and congratulations on your marriage!!

They tell me down here they like to line the tables with white orchids at the reception. As guests leave they get to take one home. Sometimes the nurseries around here are loaded with them. It can be quite pretty. But to receive them as presents...Brilliant!! Congrat's and good luck!

Awww, thanks guys. I'll tell ya though - it was SO much fun, but planning a wedding with the pond in between you and the location and then doing it all over again AFTER the honeymoon is a lot of work. I am ready to get back to business as usual right now. :-)

The maroon Miltassias are going to be quite a show too. Like I said - I actually have 3 of them and each of those has at least 2 spikes. I think I have a total of 7 spikes and round two is just getting started. :-)
