    Talking First bloom phal seedling

    I am excited to show off this NOID that I bought as a very baby seedling off an online auction in January of 2008 (along with 11 other babies, only 5 of which survived). It has grown to about a 8" leaf span and this is the first one to bloom.
    I am shocked at how large the flower was in comparison to the plant!!!

    They were all unmarked so it was very excicting to wait and see what it would look like, and I'm not disappointed!

    I took this pic in April, and it bloomed for about 3 weeks before wilting, which I suppose is better for such a young plant (better then blooming and using up too much energy).

    I can't wait to see what the other 4 will look like!

    Huge pretty flower! Can't wait to see the rest! Congrats for growing and blooming them. Looking at your posts I am getting impatient for my babies' blooms...

    That's one pretty flower. I agree with Moshen about the color differences.
