    Default Rhyntoleya Island Flare 'Fragrance'

Another bag baby from last year. First blooming. This is Blc. Oconee x Ctna. Peggy San. Flower is okay, but like the clonal name says, the fragrance is strong and beautiful. The plant is small and the flowers are about 4".

Easy plant to grow and quite vigorous.

That is beautiful, I wish I could smell it for myself. I always think that catts. look like they have a nose in the middle and that one looks like its nose is nipped by the cold with it being lovely and pink at the tip LOL

Yeah...I've always seen the "nose" as well. The Broughtonia influence tends to spread the flower out a bit make the nose a bit more prominent. The whole plant is only 8" tall. I personally prefer large flowers on small plants.

Nice flower. I have a Blc. Chia Lin - a Oconee's relative - the flowers are bigger than that. I love the color. congrats

Megastores in the US, you know those big chains of department stores sell
orchids in bags, usually cheaper than nursery orchids.
Hence the name bag babies ...

Amey, bag babies are the orchids in plastic bags at the box stores. One hour ago I could've post even picture, but now they are out of the bags...

I love baggie babies! I feel like I'm rescuing them from plastic baggie death when I buy them. And nice one there! I may have to keep an eye out for that one...I like!
