    Smile Blc. Rebecca's Delight 'Moonglow'

    Hi all!

    I am very excited for this plant, and I will tell you why. This plant is a perfect example of my motto (which is in my signature) which is, "if you fail with one plant, buy another and try something different until you succeed" !! So that is what I did with this plant -let me explain. I purchased one of these plants last July and I tried to put it into SH and it was miserable, and it died. So, I said, "Ok, maybe it hates SH, i'll buy another and leave it alone" So in January I bought another (after I was totally sure the other one was a goner) and I left it alone. I repotted it once in June because it was pretty overgrown, and now here it is August and it is blooming!! This is an amazingly strong hybrid cattleya that I think everyone should have, it helps build confidence. It lives on my south windowsill which is not the best environment for any orchid and it has thrived! I think it is great. It has 2 blooms on one new growth, one bloom on another growth, and 2 more buds on the way!

    I completely agree with your motto, keep tweaking the growing conditions until you get it right, being persistent pays off!
